My New Freezer
When we lived in Springfield, Oregon, a member of the ward was giving away their old freezer. It was a big old one, but was better than what we had...nothing. So we took it. It has a few issues, but has been a good freezer for us. As of late, it's been getting worse. The door leaks a lot of air, and as a result, it has a lot of ice. During the summer months, it labors a lot.
Anyway, I went to help a lady get ready to move yesterday. (That was fun with my 3 little kids. The RS pres was there too, and she had 4 with her. Good thing our kids were well behaved and helpful!) She is moving from here to San Diego with whatever will fit in her car. She has a 1 bedroom apartment. So, a lot had to go. Mostly, she was just giving stuff away. She sold the bed (brand new), the stacking washer and dryer, and her chest freezer. It's brand new, and she only used it for 1 month. Real nice. Not too big (I think it's the smallest one Sears sells), but the reviews on line were real good for it.
So, here's a pic of my new freezer. I figure it was better to spend a little bit of money now for a good deal, than to have to run out and charge a lot of money when the big freezer died (our fridge doesn't have a freezer). So this is planning ahead, right?
