It Pays to be Good!

Jacob and Thomas were chosen from their classrooms (only 3 per classroom of about 20) to be a part of the SMART program (sorry, not really sure what that is). They got to go on a field trip yesterday to the city. They went to the Hyatt O'Hare hotel. It was a reward for being such a good student and leader all year long. They left school at about 11:30am. I was supposed to be at the school at 4:30 to pick them up. When I got there, I found out that the company sponsoring our school had donated bikes to each of the kids (90 in all). WOW. We just needed to come back up at 6:00 to pick them up. Amazing!

Here are the boys posing with all of their new stuff. They each received a helmet, a bike, a backpack (apparently only Jacob and Tom got these, their sponsors really liked them), a bike lock and chain, and the boys got a windbreaker to share. Well, it'll fit Brent, so I don't know how much sharing between them will be going on :) Thank you so much, Abbot Pharmaceuticals!!!!!
