Jacob on the Campout

Here's Jacob, haning out near the fire. He had a lot of fun tending the fire, until he burnt his thumb. It wasn't a bad burn, but I think it scared him. It kinda took the wind out of his sails for fire tending.

Here's Jacob and Israel in the flag ceremony

And Jacob in the rain on Friday night. The Boy Scout troop shared a campsite with us, so Jacob got to hang out with the older kids. He thought that was awesome!

Ouch! I'd stay away from the fire too!

He LOVES the fire, and sees it as a big responsibility to tend it. It was the coveted job all weekend long. The other kids wanted it, but it was his. He felt lucky to have it.

But his poor thumb kind of made him think twice about it.
