Joliet Iron Works Historic Site

Here's the trail for the Joliet Iron Works Historic Site. It's really a neat place to go hike and look around. We don't have Incan or Mayan ruins, but this has as kindred feeling with that.

This was once a large blast furnace, where they would heat up the iron to over 1000 degrees. That's pretty hot!

The kids really wanted to walk on this "bridge", but it was behind the railing, and "mean" mom said we couldn't go there. Funny how moms are!
