Egg Hunting!

And the Egg hunt begins! It only took about 30 seconds to clear the field, but what a glorious 30 seconds it was!

In Line

Have you noticed how much of our life that we spend in lines? Today, we spent a little more than our share. Imagine 3000 people coming to one place, waiting in line, trying to get into a building to hunt for eggs. Crazy. I don't know how many people were actually there, but it sure seemed like a lot.

First, we waited outside. It was cold and windy. There were people in front of us complaining. But the line was moving at an ok speed.

Then, we moved inside. We noticed that there were 3 lines converging at the front, near the doors to the big center. We waited some more.

Then, we filled out papers, received tickets, and were placed in a holding line. We would be the next group to go in. There were about 500 of us.


Then we went inside. Were were placed inbetween the stage and the egg hunt. The other group was egg hunting. We were lined up in about 10 rows, and watched the stage. There were "church" dancers, dancing to "Jesus" music. I'd never heard a "hard" Jesus rap before. Interesting. We waited through about 3 songs, then had a "Jesus" puppet show and play about the real meaning of Easter, set to rock music. Interesting.


Then, we were moved around the perimeter of the egg hunt. There were 2 sections, with people lined up on all 4 sides. Parents were to stay behind the green line, and kids behind the orange until the announcer said "Go". It was almost time!

One the Way to the Easter Egg Hunt

Here we are in the car, getting ready to go to the Easter Egg Hunt. It was at a convention center in town. We traded kids for the ride. Jake and Tom went with Andrew, Mary, Lewis, and Elizabeth, Rachel, and Becca went with Brent, I, Joe, Jim, and Eme.

Saturday Morning Easter Egg Hunt!

Growing up, we always did the "bunny" part of Easter on Saturday. The Easter Bunny comes Saturday morning. After everyone was up, and had eaten a sufficient amount of Easter candy, we went outside for an egg hunt. Thanks to Andrew for hiding them for us. The kids had fun. The big kids were very fast, so there were only a few for Jim to get, but he enjoyed it!

The Uncles

After looking at the pictues, I realized that I forgot to take pictures when Josh, Randolph, and Sophie got here last night. So, there are only 2 of the uncles. I'll do better on Saturday and Sunday :)

Olive Monster!

At dinner time, I had most of a can left over of olives. I've never found it difficult to get rid of extra olives. I asked Tom and Eme to help me out with the "problem". They were happy to oblige.

Good Friday

Brent was working on his Civil War hat. He's sewing trim on it. Jimmy, Joe, and Andrew are having a light saber duel. Fun times!

Computer Junkies!

Look at all these kids! Milling around the computer. Jacob, Eme, and Tom lost their computer privileges yesterday. Jacob did not complete his chores on time, and Eme and Tom were fist fighting. So, they lost the computer for today. They're living vicariously through their cousins, watching them play the game. Silly kids.

Don't know what game their playing right now, but a little later they were playing "Kitty Cannon", where you blow kittens out of a cannon. Nice.

Joe Joe was at the computer, but he's taking a break right now. This kid, he's either happy or sad, but no in between!

Jimmy Feeling Left Out

Here's Jimmy, wanting to play light sabers, but feeling left out. The big kids went outside to play, but poor Jim got left inside. It dipped down to the 30's again, so it's too cold for him.
