Jacob's 9th Birthday Cake

He wanted a star wars birthday, and I thought this was just perfect!
R2D2 is pretty cool! Its sitting on a plate, so you can see that it's not a big cake, but it's just for our family.

Monster Fingers

Check out our dinner on the first day of school. The boys thought this was soo cool. It's hot dogs, tortillas, and ketchup. Pretty gross, eH?

First Day of School 2006-2007

Here are the kids on their first day of school. OK, it's after school, but it's still the same day! School started on August 28th, 2006, Monday. Jacob has Mrs. McSomthing in 4th grade, and Thomas has Mrs. Kump in 1st grade. They like their teachers and their classes.

Nice Hair Tom

I just loved this picture of Tom. We had just finished dinner, and we were getting ready to head back to the fair. He ran to the drinking fountain, and got his hair all wet (it was warm). Then we got "stuck" at the monkey bars, and this made for a perfect photo op!

I Love Jimmy

Here I am, trying to keep Jimmy happy for 10 more minutes! The kids only had 2 more rides a piece, and then we could go. Hang on, Jimmy!

Tractor at the Fair

The kids (Brent) really like this tractor, and wanted to get their picture taken in front of it. I was just sure that they were going to break it in some way. Chill out mom!!!

Drive Jim, Drive!

This fun bouncy car was at the park in Peotone, where we had dinner at the park at the Will County Fair. I think that it was Jimmy's favorite part, because he was out of the stroller!

Will County Fair

Here we are, at the Fair! After looking at all the animals, and eating dinner at the park, we went to let the kids go on a few rides. They had such a great time! And so did Brent and I!

Joe loves his Thomas the Train pieces. He got a whole bunch from Uncle Randolph and Aunt Sophie from Christmas, and now he got some more from Grandma Lyn, Grandma Ida, and Mom and Dad! Isn't his expression priceless!

The Birthday Party

Soccer Party! Well, Train Party, but with soccer too. We had the soccer stuff, but the day before his birthday, he decided he wanted trains. I quickly changed the cake idea from soccer ball to train, and put soccer balls in the back of the train. Then, we could keep the decor, and please the birthday boy at the same time. How smart I am!

New Bathroom Shelving and Ceiling Fan

Do you like the new shelving in the bathroom? I think that it works a lot better than what we had before! And, I installed a new ceiling fan in the living room tonight. The light part of our old fan wasn't working, so we bought a new one. This one is bigger, and works very well. Plus, it has 4 lights. Very bright! Gotta like that.
