Our Downed Tree

Look what the wind storm did!

Sleeping Baby

Kids on the New Couch

Sunny Summer Afternoon

Here are the kids, waiting for lunch, and then waiting to go into the pool. Oh, to be a kid again!

My New Do

After 2 long years of growing out my hair, I finally got a hair cut. I was waiting until I shed some of the pregnancy pounds, and since I'm only 10 lbs away from where I started, I thought I'd go do it! I went to the JCPenney salon, and had a great time. Sure, it would have been better without 5 little kids in tow, but they did great. Don't you like it?

Jacob and Thomas in Civil War Clothes

The boys enjoyed trying on a piece of Dad's Civil War costume. But boy was it hot that day!

Nakie Baby in a Stroller

Check out cute baby Jim in the stroller. Boy was it hot a few days we were camping, but it was sure nice under the shade of the trees! Isn't he cute!

We Leveled the Side Yard

Leveled, as in, made level, not as in, destroyed. There was a guy up the street from here, Ari, who had felled some trees and had a huge mulch pile. We wanted to see if he was going to use it, but figured he was, so we never asked. Finally, about 2 weeks later, he lit it on fire, and started to burn it. We stopped, after our walk, one day to see if we could put out the fire and salvage the mulch. He said sure. He let us hose it off, and we took it away in 4 trailer load fulls. Our side yard sure looks a lot better! Thanks Ari!

Jacob on Babysitting Day

Back when I posted about our babysitting day, I couldn't find a pic of Jacob to put on the page. I just found one, so here he is. I'd hate for him to feel left out! Love you Jacob!!!

Jonah and the Whale

Not quite sure what this one is of, but I think it's the sailors getting ready to toss Jonah (Jacob) overboard.

Yep, it think that's right.

The Cast of Jonah and the Whale

Here's all my kids! Thomas, Jacob, Nathan Dodd, Neal Davis, Blaine and Skyler Newman, Liam Rundle.

Joe Joe

Here's Joe, doing what he does best! Eating candy! One time, when asked what he wanted from Santa, his answer was simply, CANDY!

Primary Quarterly Activity

We had a lot of fun at this activity. We split the kids into 4 or 5 groups, and put on bible story plays. Our group was Jonah and the whale. I had 6 boys ages 6-9 in my group. Yah, it was fun. Oh yah.

Here's Jacob, and his buddy Nathan Dodd, trying hard to pay attention to the others doing their play!

Babysitting Day

A few weeks ago, we had a ward temple day, for patron and staffing and such. Brent was able to go, but I couldn't. Jim doesn't go longer than 4 hours without eating durning the day. But, because I'm such a nice person, I volunteered to watch my friend's daughter, Talia. Here are a few of the fun pictures that we took that day!

Soldier for the War

Here's Brent, sporting his new civil war outfit. Their first battle is at the end of the month. He talked his brother, Nathaniel, into joining the company too.

We went to Minooka last year and watched a reinactment, and it was pretty impressive. I hope you guys have fun!

Jimmy and His Food!

Hot dog anyone?

Jacob, the Fire Tender

We put Jacob in charge of our fire. He did such a good job.

Harty Family Water Fight

Here we are at Camp Hoover in Yorkville on Memorial Day weekend!

Water Fight!

Water fights are such fun! I love the water, and what could be better than fresh cold water on a hot hot day!

Ready for our Hike!

Our Visitor

While camping, we had a visitor in the night time. A raccoon came to check out the site, and see what food we left unprotected. Luckily, he only scored a package of crackers.

Our Campout Begins

Here are my kids, waiting for me outside of Wal-Mart. Yes, Brent is there too! I ran in to get last minute camping stuff, and the kids stayed in the car. I took Joe and Jake with me, and we tried to go fast. Still, it took an hour!
